Selling can't happen until a prospect has responded to your marketing messages, learned something about your product or service, or has a sense that you might be able to help them. When you start selling before you get to the 'second base' you always get tagged out. Many people are frustrated with selling because they're trying to sell to someone who isn't even on the first base yet. Be aware that selling rarely happens in a vacuum. As you probably know, it's almost impossible to just call someone up and sell them on your services. So, don't waste your time on that.
